Journey

The Buransh Journey

Four days in Sari, high enough that the clouds sit level with the village. A drive down through Chopta, from peak to valley. Then three days by the river in Mandal. Same mountains, two entirely different versions, and everything in between.

The Rhythm

Our flagship journey. A full week across both villages, built to give each place enough time to properly settle in. Four nights in Sari, the high village start: thin air, stone houses, mornings that begin at the lake trail. Three nights in Mandal, the forest close: lush green canopy, birdsong, a bonfire evening under the star studded sky.

The Garhwal Himalayas aren’t one place. They’re several, stacked on top of each other. The Buransh Journey takes you through two of them. Unhurried. Same mountains, two entirely different altitudes, and everything in between.

Seven nights is how we’d plan our own trip. Long enough that neither stay feels rushed, short enough to still feel like one journey rather than two trips stitched together.

The Big Highlights

Deoria Tal at sunrise, the high-altitude lake walk from Sari.

Tungnath & Chandrashila, the big summit day, the world’s highest Shiva temple and a 360° panorama across the Garhwal range.

A full day in Sari, Ukhimath, Chopta’s meadows, or an unhurried stroll in the village closing at the sunset point.

The river at Mandal, a quiet swimming hole, or an afternoon doing nothing at all.

Dawn birding at Mandal, around 80 species recorded in the orchard and forest.

Anusuya Matha & Atrey Muni waterfall, a quiet forest trail from Mandal, if there’s time for one more hike.

Bonfire evenings at both stays.

Wander More

Seven nights is where the Journey finds its full shape. And, it still bends, all the way out to two weeks if you have the time. Do a longer trek to Madhyamaheshwar or Rudranath, two of the Panch Kedar temples, both a proper multi-day walk rather than a day trip, for guests who want something further off the usual route. Add a second birding morning at Mandal, or simply extend both stays by a few days each and let the pace slow further. Tell us roughly how many days you have, from seven up to fourteen, and we’ll build a plan that fits.

Customising

Every Buransh Journey is a starting point, not a fixed package. Tell us your dates, how many nights you have, and how you’d like to split your time between Sari and Mandal. And, we’ll build the trip around that rather than fitting you into ours. Extensions, added treks, and a longer stay at either village are easiest to arrange with a little notice, so the earlier you tell us what you have in mind, the more we can tailor. Everything on this page is just what most guests choose. If you want something different, tell us and we’ll shape it around you.
