Journey
Closer to the Clouds, Sari
Hike up to Deoria Tal for the sunrise, wander through Sari village, trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, watch the sun set over the Garhwal Himalayas, and leave enough time to simply slow down.
The Rhythm
Four nights in the high village. Fresh mountain air, stone-and-mud houses built the old Pahadi way, and a lake trail that climbs into the meadows above Sari. Long enough to stop counting days. Unhurried mornings on breath-taking trails, afternoons soaking in the open mountain views from the lounge, and cool evenings by the bonfire. We’ve chosen a minimum of 4 nights, so you can leave rested, not rushed.
The Big Highlights
Deoria Tal at sunrise. The classic high-altitude lake walk, unhurried.
Tungnath & Chandrashila. A full day out, the world’s highest Shiva temple and a summit panorama.
Slow Pahadi living. Pahadi-paced village walks, a home-cooked meal with a local family.
Ukhimath. The winter seat of the Kedarnath deity, an hour’s drive away.
Leisurely evenings at the lounge, or by the bonfire.
Wander More
Four nights is enough to settle in without rushing, and it stretches easily. There are lesser-known forest trails, viewpoints, sunset spots, and quiet picnic corners around the village too, the kind you only find by asking. A short drive to Chopta’s meadows is worth it for golden-hour light and Himalayan panoramas on its own. Tell us roughly how long you have, and we’ll shape it around you.
Customising
We can take care of everything, so you can just show up, explore and enjoy. All meals, accommodation, transfers from Rishikesh and back, local mountain guides for the hikes, packed lunches on trek days. Excludes flights/trains to Rishikesh and personal expenses.

Stay base
From our stay in Sari Village
A surprisingly cosy four-room stone and mud home, nestled 500 metres up the scenic trail to Deoria Tal. Built the Pahadi way, the rooms stay naturally warm when it's cold and cool when it's not. At its heart is an open lounge that looks out across the mountains. A place for long conversations, quiet mornings, board games, books, and unhurried cups of chai. Step outside and you'll find village walks, forest trails, birdlife, and some of Garhwal's finest treks. Stay a little longer. The mountains reward patience.
